Overview
LibriVox Mobile is an independent Android audiobook app published by BabilinApps. You can browse public audiobook catalogs, stream or download chapters, and cast audio to compatible receivers. No account is required. The app has no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.
Data stored on your device
Your library, listening progress, bookmarks and notes, likes, settings, search cache, cover art, and downloaded audio are stored on your device. This app does not upload that library to a developer-operated server.
Android backup or device transfer may include some settings and local app data when enabled. You can manage backup in Android settings. Downloaded audio and cache may be excluded from backup.
Catalogs and audio hosts
The app contacts the catalogs you enable: LibriVox, Lit2Go at the University of South Florida, and Wolne Lektury. It also contacts audio and artwork hosts linked by those catalogs, including the Internet Archive, and may request fallback artwork from AudiobookCovers.com. Lit2Go discovery may use Apple's public podcast search service. Previously saved books and linked texts may still load files from Project Gutenberg.
These services receive the requests needed to search, load metadata or artwork, stream, or download a file. Requests may include your search terms, the requested book or file, and normal connection information such as your IP address. Each service has its own privacy and retention practices. Selecting a source or opening an external link does not create an account in this app.
Google Cast
The Google Cast Android Sender SDK sends anonymous information about discovery, sessions, SDK use, the app, and the mobile device to Google. Google uses it to measure usage and improve Cast. The SDK encrypts these logs in transit. Google says developers and users cannot opt out of this SDK collection or delete these logs; logs are retained briefly and aggregated.
Casting also sends the selected audio and playback information to the receiver you choose. Downloaded files may be served to that receiver through a temporary HTTP connection on your local network. Keep your phone and receiver on a network you trust.

Diagnostics and support
Optional Cast diagnostics are saved locally when you enable logging. Logs can include playback or network events, file URLs, and receiver information. They are not automatically uploaded by LibriVox Mobile. You can clear them in Cast diagnostics.
If you choose Share Cast log, Android lets you select the receiving app or person. Review a log before sharing it. If you email support, the message and any attachments you choose to send are used to answer your request and investigate the reported problem. Do not send passwords or private files.
Permissions
Internet and network state are used for catalog requests, artwork, streaming, downloads, and connectivity checks.
Foreground media playback keeps user-started audio playing in the background. Notifications provide playback controls.
Local network access is used to discover and communicate with Cast receivers. Optional permissions can be managed in Android settings.
Retention and deletion
Local library data remains until you remove it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. You can delete downloads in the app and clear optional Cast logs in Cast diagnostics. Cached data may be refreshed or removed as the app runs.
There is no server account to delete. Android backups are managed separately through your device or Google account. Catalog hosts and Google handle their own logs under their policies. Contact support if you want correspondence associated with a support request removed, subject to any retention required by law.
Website and external links
This project website is hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not include app-operated advertising or analytics scripts. GitHub may process normal hosting logs. Source, donation, support, and repository links open external services with their own privacy policies.
Your selected website language and appearance are saved locally in this browser. On the homepage, the site can use your browser's preferred languages to choose an initial language. It does not request device location.
