Overview
These terms apply when you use LibriVox Mobile, an unofficial Android app for finding and listening to public-domain audiobooks recorded by LibriVox volunteers.
What The App Provides
The app helps you search, stream, cast, download, and organize public-domain audiobooks. It also stores local library data such as progress, bookmarks, likes, settings, cache, cover art, and downloads.
Cost
LibriVox Mobile is completely free. The app does not sell subscriptions, in-app purchases, paid upgrades, or paid access to audiobook content.
No Account
The app does not require an account. You are responsible for your device, your local downloads, and your use of the app.
Audiobook Sources
Recordings and catalog information come from LibriVox and linked public audiobook hosting sources. LibriVox Mobile does not own those recordings and does not control their availability, metadata, or hosting.
Public-domain status can vary by country. You are responsible for following the laws that apply where you live.
Unofficial App
LibriVox Mobile is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by LibriVox. The official volunteer project is at LibriVox.org.
Acceptable Use
Use the app in a reasonable way. Do not use it to interfere with LibriVox, audiobook hosts, Google Cast devices, or other services.
Third-Party Links
The app and website may link to LibriVox, audiobook hosts, donation pages, or other websites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies.
No Warranty
The app is provided as is. We try to keep it useful and reliable, but we do not promise that every catalog result, stream, download, Cast session, website, or source link will always work.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes. The updated date at the top of this page will change when that happens.
