What To Include
- Your Android device model and Android version.
- The LibriVox Mobile app version, if you can find it.
- The book title, author, and chapter where the problem happened.
- Whether you were streaming, downloading, casting, or listening offline.
- The steps that led to the problem.
Common Fixes
Streaming or downloads fail
Check your connection and try the book again later. LibriVox recordings are hosted by public audiobook sources, and individual files may be unavailable for a while.
Cast devices do not appear
Make sure your phone and receiver are on the same local network. Android may also ask for local network permission before Cast discovery works.
Notifications do not show media controls
Open Android settings for the app and allow notifications. Playback still works if notifications are off, but Android may hide media controls.
Delete Local Data
You can delete downloaded books from the app. To remove all local data, clear app storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.
Support LibriVox
LibriVox is the volunteer project that records public-domain audiobooks. LibriVox Mobile is independent and cannot change LibriVox recordings, catalog records, reader credits, or donation information.
To support LibriVox, use the official LibriVox links below. Their donation page explains how financial support is handled and points people to the Internet Archive.
